Here are a few websites you might enjoy looking at:

Branstetter-related:

  • Branstetter Home Place - Our distant cousin Mr. Carl Chaney Branstetter of Missouri has a nice family site with photos of some of our Missouri kin. (Branstetters are BIG in Missouri.)
  • Ellen Kerley's Branstetter Tree - This site has lots of Branstetter info (mostly the Kentucky and Missouri branches). The database shows the Branstetter tree going back to the 1600's and is updated very frequently by Ellen. Her research, along with that of Rev. Dr. Paul D. Branstetter of Wright Co., Missouri, has been the basis for the early Branstetter family genealogy you will find on this site.
  • John Norris Brown's database - This is a wonderful site with lots of genealogy information on several Deer Lodge area families (especially Branstetters!)
  • Branstetter Family Genealogy Forum - A national forum where visitors post genealogy questions about the Branstetters (and get them answered!)
  • The Travel Journey of Peter L. Branstetter (Missouri Branstetter heads to California in search for gold!)
  • The Life of Elder Peter Branstetter -- Intro and Trip to California -- (Same diary as above but with a bio) A big thanks to distant cousin Wendell Branstetter for sending us these two links!

Durham-related:

  • Dusty Williams' database - Dusty is a young Durham descendant living in Texas who has done some fine work on the family tree. When I first discovered his information, I was able to fill in a lot of the pieces of our own Durham tree that had been eluding me. (Thanks, Dusty - and keep up the good work!)
  • Bruce York's Fentress Co. database - Mr. York has compiled a great deal of info on families in the Fentress County, TN area.
  • Ken Parker's database - Another good Durham tree with a lot of info about our Bledsoe and Rhea county ancestors.

Other:

  • www.beareware.com - Vicki's boyfriend Peter Beare's web development company, where Vicki is chief designer.
  • www.bearefamily.com - Peter's Australian family's website.
  • www.australianfestival.com - Peter founded and has been running the Australian Festival (as a side project...) for 11 years. This year it will be in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Nov. 4 thru 7, 2007.
